This is only one single VOLUNTARY recall of pet food in the US. Each year there thousands of animals become sick and die due to negligence by these massive companies. Since pet food is an unregulated market the FDA will only force a recall if the food is harmful to humans, thus the ethics of the industry are left up to companies who focus on their bottom line.
